FOUNDERS’ DAY AND SANITY – NNF CEO encourages Ghanaians to clean their environments

The marking of 4th August 2023 as a holiday in Ghana’s history has much to desire as Founders’ day,  to enlighten the significance of the Big 6, notably

    1. Kwame Nkrumah

   2. Joseph Boakye Danquah

   3. Ebenezer Ako – Adjei

   4. Edward Akufo – Addo

   5. Emmanuel Obetsebi – Lamptey

   6. William Ofori Atta

Whose actions influenced and contributed to earning Ghana independence on the 6th March, 1957 as the first country in Sub Sahara Africa.

Yet over so many years 60 and above after independence same cannot be seen and said of our sanitation and environmental cleanliness.

  WHY CLEAN GHANA.

The Assembly Member of Omandjor Honorable Elvis Nii Addo organized a street cleanup exercise and drainage desilting with members of the community in collaboration with Nurture Nature Foundation on the 4th August 2023 from 6:00am to 1:00pm

Nurture Nature Foundation is much optimistic and encouraging all citizens to use the Founders ‘ Day to ensuring communal labor to clean up their communities and develop sustainable activities to beautify their homes and business environment.

Landscaping promotion is among the most laudable landmarks for community beautification.

Drains desilting and proper disposal of debris is also very helpful

Segregation of waste at source also improves waste management as value is earned on the waste collection

Sensitization and education of the people in communities is much desirable to inculcate community behavioral changes for a more lasting impact to promote sanity in all spheres of our lives.

Ghanaians should be empowered to see dirt as crime as exemplified in Rwanda in Africa and Japan in Asia where gutters are filled with golden fishes and other marine creatures which attracts tourists.

What time is Ghana cleanliness to be applauded by the global community as majority of Ghanaians remain Christians, is it not IRONIC as we continue to wallow in dirty environmentsSince cleanliness is next to Godliness.

Nurture Nature Foundation is using this tool to call for all hands on deck to ensure CLEAN GHANA FIRST
