Purpose of the Ghana Card Linking Portals by Banks
Banks have released their respective portals to help their cherished customers link their Ghana Cards to their bank accounts.
This will help customers continue to transact with their banks successfully.
To this, Customers of accredited banks in Ghana who haven’t updated their records with the Ghana Card have until July 1st to do so, or risk being unable to conduct any financial transactions through their respective bank accounts.

How to link your Ghana Card and Bank Account online
- First, visit the Ghana Card linking portal of your bank using the bank’s URL above.
- Then, enter your Bank Account Number.
- After here, you could be asked to to provide either your your date of birth or verify your phone number etc. to validate your account depending on the type of bank.
- Upload a picture of your Ghana Card.
- You will see a message on the portal or receive a message on your phone or email confirming your success in linking your Ghana Card and Bank Account.
Why do you have to link your Ghana Card to Your Bank Account?
To comply with the requirements the Bank of Ghana, customers of financial institutions regulated by the Bank of Ghana must make any necessary changes to their accounts.
This is because all Financial institutions are required by the Anti-Money Laundering Act and Bank of Ghana to update their customers’ records to reflect the Ghana Card.
